Common Questions

Do I need to be an existing Agape patient?

Yes. Virtual care is for active Agape Invisalign patients — Dr. Luke has your full records and ClinCheck plan on file. New to Agape? Start with a complimentary consultation at any of our three locations.

How often do I check in?

It depends on your treatment stage. Dr. Luke sets a personalized schedule — typically aligned with your aligner change intervals, usually every one to two weeks.

Will I ever need to come in person?

Yes — attachment placement, IPR, refinement scans with our iTero Lumina, and debonding all require an in-office visit. Dr. Luke communicates well in advance when you need to come in. Out-of-state patients plan these around trips home.

What app is used?

The Invisalign Virtual Care app — available on iOS and Android. It guides you through the photo process and submits directly to Dr. Luke's clinical dashboard. Takes about five minutes.

Is virtual care included in my treatment fee?

Yes — no separate fee for virtual check-ins. As an out-of-network provider, most PPO plans provide orthodontic benefits that apply. HSA and FSA accepted.

How is this different from mail-order aligner companies?

Every check-in is reviewed by Dr. Luke, a licensed ABO board-certified orthodontist who treated you in person. Mail-order services skip the in-person exam entirely — the AAO has warned against this due to risks of root damage and tooth loss.
