Community Orthodontics in Cupertino, Fremont & Milpitas
Agape Orthodontics runs community orthodontics programs throughout the tri city area: screenings and health education in schools and community centers, on site Invisalign Scan Days for local employers, and sponsorship of school and community events.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial evaluation by age 7. The conditions that benefit most from early detection, including crossbites, transverse deficiency, developing skeletal discrepancy, and airway related growth patterns, are typically painless and not visible to parents. Children without an established dental home are the least likely to be evaluated inside that window.
Dr. Luke Wu, a board certified orthodontist and ABO Diplomate, leads every program personally. Findings are documented and released to each family or employee, and in a substantial share of cases the finding is that no treatment is indicated. For working adults the constraint is scheduling rather than awareness, so we bring the initial scan and consultation into the workplace.
Schools & Community Centers
Programs for elementary and middle schools, PTAs, after school programs, libraries, and cultural centers. We supply the personnel, equipment, and parent materials; the host provides the space. Select any program for details.
Screening Days On-site orthodontic screenings with written findings sent home
Dr. Luke screens students individually on site. A few minutes per child, visual and non-invasive, and every participating family receives written findings, including the families where we found nothing. Signed parent consent required; we supply the permission form in English and Chinese. All we need from you is a room, a few tables, and an outlet.
Hygiene Classes Brushing, flossing, and caring for teeth with braces or aligners
Built for younger grades and taught by demonstration rather than lecture. Students learn technique they can actually repeat, plus what changes once braces or aligners enter the picture. Pairs naturally with an existing health unit.
Classroom Presentations How teeth and jaws grow, and orthodontics as a career
Why some people need treatment and others never do, explained at grade level. A good fit for middle school science units and career days, where the interest is often as much in the profession as in the treatment itself.
Parent Conferences Straight answers on Phase 1 and early treatment
The most misunderstood topic in the specialty. Dr. Luke covers what Phase 1 treatment can and cannot accomplish, where airway fits in, and how to tell a case that needs attention now from one that can safely wait. The AAO recommends a first evaluation by age 7, which most parents have never heard. Four to six weeks of lead time lets us get materials circulated in English and Chinese.
Event Sponsorships School fundraisers, silent auctions, and community events
We sponsor school and community fundraising throughout Cupertino, Fremont, and Milpitas, including silent auction donation packages and event sponsorships. If your organization is assembling a fundraiser, tell us the timeline and we will let you know what we can contribute.
Companies & Corporate
On-site Invisalign Scan Days for Bay Area employers. Each participating employee receives a digital scan, a simulation, and a private consultation without leaving the building, typically in under fifteen minutes.
Invisalign Scan Day A digital iTero scan for every employee who signs up
A few minutes in the chair, no impression material of any kind. Employees step away from their desk and come back. A conference room is all the space we need. Over 80% of the cases we treat are completed with Invisalign, so this is the work we do most.
Same-Visit Smile Simulation A projection of how their teeth could look after treatment
Generated from the scan on the spot. For most people this is the moment the idea stops being abstract. They are looking at their own teeth, not a stock photo.
One-on-One With Dr. Luke Whether treatment makes sense, what it involves, how long
A short private conversation, not a pitch. Everyone leaves with written findings and no obligation. If the honest answer is that treatment is not needed, that is the answer they get.
Benefits & Payment Guidance Out-of-network PPO, HSA and FSA, 0% in-house plans
We are out-of-network with most plans, and most PPO plans still provide orthodontic benefits that apply. We verify coverage, handle documentation, and explain HSA and FSA use plainly. We also supply the scheduling link and announcement copy for your email or Slack. Full detail on our insurance and financing page.
